Antonia Gersch

Antonia Gersch is a dance dramaturge and scholar. Since 2018, she has headed the consultancy program at Tanzbüro Berlin and has coordinated the tanzraumberlin magazine. In 2022, she was awarded the research prize of the Gesellschaft für Tanzforschung for her master’s thesis. Her close collaboration with choreographer Lukas Malkowski was part of her DIS-TANZ-SOLO project Dramaturgies of the Future. In 2023, she received research funding from the Goethe Institute to develop future collaborations between Berlin and Toronto. During the Dance Made in Canada festival 2023, Microphone Controller was awarded the Audience Choice Award. In her dramaturgical work, she brings socio-political themes and theoretical discourses into dialogue with the body.
