Johanna Withelm

Johanna Withelm (she/her) is a dance and theater scholar and works as a freelance author, editor and producer. Johanna is white, non-disabled, comes from West-Berlin and is the mother of a daughter. She is interested in the relationship between movement, body and text and writes about dance, performance and pop culture. She curated the Tanzbad festival at Ballhaus Ost and the A.PART festival at ada studio & Bühne für zeitgenössischen Tanz. She has written dance reviews and texts for various media and artistic publications. She worked as a production manager at Sophiensaele for five years. Since 2015, she has been working as a dramaturge for the choreographer duo bücking&kröger. In 2023 she became the editor of tanzraumberlin magazine.
